The state institution "V. T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Emergency Surgery" of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences is a leading scientific and clinical center for the problems of emergency surgery in Ukraine. Both in pre-war times and now, during a full-scale war, highly qualified surgeons of the Kharkiv Institute perform dozens of highly complex operations every day, saving the lives of patients with serious diseases, pathologies, injuries, and wounds.

Saved patients are called guardian angels of the doctors of the Department of Cardiac Surgery of the "V. T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Emergency Surgery". And this is not an exaggeration, it is a proven fact! For 30 years of work, the Department of Cardiac Surgery has performed more than 2,500 heart operations, including more than 1,500 interventions with the use of an artificial blood circulation device. And these are thousands of cured adult and children's hearts, thousands of saved and extended lives.

Understanding that during the war the needs of the Department of Cardiac Surgery in medical equipment only increased, the "Healthy Future" Charitable Foundation handed over to the "V. T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Emergency Surgery":

• Device for artificial lung ventilation S1600 – 1 pc.

The equipment is already installed and working.
