Every day, since the beginning of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, new cases of COVID-19, a disease caused by the new coronavirus 2019-nCoV, have been registered in Kyiv. To conduct diagnostic studies - detection of the nucleic acid of a new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) by PCR diagnostics - the Oleksandrivska Clinical Hospital in Kyiv needed appropriate modern equipment that could provide an appropriate level of safety, namely: minimal intervention of laboratory personnel during the analysis.

Healthy Future Fund, thanks to sponsors, has purchased and donated to the public non-profit enterprise Oleksandrivska Clinical Hospital in Kyiv in the form of charitable assistance, urgently needed modern equipment and consumables:

• IPonatic automated portable nucleic acid detection system – 1 pc.
• diagnostic kits for detecting the nucleic acid of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) (fluorescent PCR analysis) – 10 pcs.
• sets of reagents for sample extraction – 10 pcs.

The received diagnostic equipment and consumables will provide the laboratory staff of the Oleksandrivska Clinical Hospital in Kyiv with an appropriate level of safety, will provide an opportunity to carry out diagnostics in a timely manner, which will significantly reduce the number of complications and deaths in patients infected with the new coronavirus 2019-nCoV.
